How We Got Here
Treatment Solutions Network was started in 2005 in Lighthouse Point, Florida. The company began on a laptop in the living room of CEO Jim Bevell’s home. Doing business as Treatment Solutions 411, Jim had a vision of a company that challenged existing paradigms in the addiction treatment industry.
Jim began questioning cookie cutter approaches to treatment, and the “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander” ideas that put aside the needs of the individual in favor of hooking the client. He also saw that most programs at the time were treating mental health and substance abuse problems as different issues that should be treated separately. Meanwhile all of the emerging research around co-occurring disorders proved otherwise. It is also proven the longer someone stays in treatment, the better the outcome. Contrary to that fact many centers and insurance companies were pushing for shorter and shorter lengths of stay. Then on top of all of those barriers to quality treatment a person has many physical barriers. Financial, geographical, legal and many other challenges facing them before they even pick up the phone to call for help. Why then does someone who is suffering or a family struggling and living with an addict have to jump through so many hoops to get the help they need? Why should they miss out on the most effective rehabilitation simply because they do not know what they need?
Navigating insurance, assessing substance abuse severity, determining mental health issues… All of this responsibility is often put on the people who know the least about their own conditions. The people suffering know just one thing, that they need help. Why could there not be a holistic approach to the treatment process? A model which allows the client and family focus on getting well, while experts in different facets of treatment work hard behind the scenes to make sure the process is smooth and effective?
It was from these questions that Treatment Solutions Network’s first days began, and why we still exist today. One of our promises is to be a full service company, offering solutions through every step of the treatment process. From marketing to the right people, handling their first contact, verifying their insurance, assessing their needs, giving them treatment options and throughout the entire treatment episode, we are there.
From these humble beginnings with what amounts to zero dollars in start-up capital Treatment Solutions Network has turned a profit every year since its conception. By 2007 we had hired our first boots-on-the-ground marketers and began to grow our online presence. Many of these first hires are still with us today and have helped shape our core values and philosophy over the years. In late 2007 Treatment Solutions 411 changed its name to Treatment Solutions Network, reflecting our wide breadth of choice. During this same time Treatment Solutions Network undertook a cultural shift. We developed our core purpose and values that guide us through the fog of day-to-day challenges. You can read more about what our core values, philosophy and purpose are in this section.
Our network approach has been a win-win for us as well as the facilities we utilize since the beginning. Our wide selection of choice, high quality of care and skill in managing all of the details of a client’s treatment process has allowed us to help countless people. The experience we gained while working with many of the finest facilities in the country inspired us to begin investing in our own substance abuse centers. In March of 2010 we opened our first Treatment Solutions Network owned and operated facility: Leading Edge Recovery Center, located in Hamilton, New Jersey.
Not without its growing pains, Leading Edge Recovery Center today is a high performing 52 bed facility. It is consistently one of the best scoring facilities within our network on independent customer satisfaction surveys. Leading Edge Recovery Center is the Crown Jewel of Treatment Solutions Network. Our success in New Jersey has allowed us to continue our mission and by August 2011 we opened our second owned and operated facility: Â Singer Island Recovery Center, located in North Palm Beach, Florida.
That brings us to where we are today, a company fulfilling the vision of its founder Jim Bevell and never forgetting the reason we are here in the first place. That reason is to rescue people. To save families the grief of losing a loved one to addiction, to give parents back their kids and give kids their parents back. Helping rebuild friendships and restore people's dignity. This is where we are today and this is what will be at our core in the future. As we grow and thrive we will continue to be innovative and revolutionary so we can fulfill our mission of helping everyone who comes into contact with us.
