2nd Annual South Florida Student Essay Contest on Addiction Recovery
"Recovery and miracles go hand-in-hand; share with us how you, personally, have seen recovery work a miracle in your life. Whether it was you, a friend or a relative, how has someone you know overcome addiction and become a recovery miracle by not only surviving, but thriving in the community?"
Essay Contest Rules
The Treatment Solutions Network Essay Contest is open to all students of the Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward County Florida school districts in grades 9-12. Persons under the age of 13 are not eligible.You must submit your 500 word Addiction Recovery related story by 11:59 pm est. September 30th 2011 to be eligible for the grand prize.
All entries must include first and last name, phone number where winner can be notified, email address for notification, gender, grade, age and school name.
Your personal information will not be used for any purpose other than to notify you when voting begins and to notify the winner of the contest results.
If you are an educator submitting multiple entries using the same contact information please send all entries to info@tsnemail.com. Be sure to include relevant contact information so we may notify the winner.
Essay Contest Winner Selection
Treatment Solution Network is searching for Recovery Miracles...share your story and win an unforgettable VIP experience with the Miami Heat for you and your miracle:
"Recovery and miracles go hand-in-hand; share with us how you, personally, have seen recovery work a miracle in your life. Whether it was you, a friend or a relative, how has someone you know overcome addiction and become a recovery miracle by not only surviving, but thriving in the community?"
In 500 words or less, each student will share their thoughts in an essay that will be submitted to the Treatment Solutions Network website, where a panel of addiction experts will review and post the top five essays each week. At the end of September, the voting will open and one winner will be chosen based on creativity, writing skills and overall message.Voting will close on October 15th. The winner will be notified by October 18th
The overall winner will receive VIP experience with the Miami Heat. Treatment Solutions Network will be working with the Miami Heat front office and the local media to not only ensure the winner an unforgettable experience, but also to guarantee that maximum awareness is raised for Recovery Month locally and nationally.
Winner will be notified by telephone and email, and parental consent will be required by anyone under the age of 18 before receiving the grand prize.
